Decision Records

Architecture decisions are recorded here as terse, canonical ADRs (Architecture Decision Records) — the "what we decided and why," dated and numbered. The narrative pages elsewhere on this site explain these decisions in depth; the ADRs are the source of truth when the two disagree.

New decisions get the next number. An ADR is not rewritten once accepted — it is superseded by a later one, so the reasoning at the time is preserved.
